Prevalence and impact of disease severity on health-related quality of life in adult patients with atopic dermatitis

Although atopic dermatitis (AD) is thought to be a childhood disease, more and more evidence is surfacing that it is even more common in adults than in children.

A study to better understand the prevalence of adult AD and explore the impact of disease severity on health-related quality of life (HRQoL). confirmed findings and conclusions of previous studies  that a high prevalence of AD does exist among adults. For patients with moderate-to-severe AD, there is a greater impact on HRQoL than for those with mild AD.
