Allergic contact dermatitis to personal care products and topical medications in adults with atopic dermatitis

The objective of this study was to determine predictors of allergic contact dermatitis and relevant allergens in atopic dermatitis (AD).

To determine this, a retrospective chart was used and assessed 502 patch tested adults with AD during 2014-2017.

Results showed that patients with AD had more positive patch-test reactions to ingredients in their personal care products, topical treatments and antibiotics.
