The extra out-of-pocket costs for individuals with atopic dermatitis (AD) from various European countries was recently reviewed.
According to researchers, the costs associated with the management of AD pose a significant burden on patients, are higher than the costs associated with other chronic diseases, and due to their extensive impact, should be included in future economic assessments concerning AD.
