Four-week study examines quality of life impact of skin care regimen on eczema sufferers

The common skin care regimen for an adult with eczema includes washing with a mild cleanser and following up with a good moisturizer. A recent study explored “the impact on quality of life (QOL) with a daily skin care regimen comprised of a mild, moisturizing body wash and lotion specifically designed for eczema sufferers.”

9 males and 23 females with mild to moderate eczema participated in the four-week study with dermatologist assessment of eczema condition using the standardized Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI).

The participants reported a significant improvement in their eczema symptoms including itch, soreness, sting, roughness and overall feel.
