Case report shows topically applied low-dose calcitriol ameliorates atopic eyelid dermatitis

A case report involving a 36-year-old man with atopic dermatitis (AD) revealed that the treatment of calcitriol improved the skin condition on his upper eyelid.

While low-dose calcitriol is a safe and effective treatment option, more evidence is needed to confirm that this treatment leads to improvement of AD symptoms.
