Atopic dermatitis: Topical antihistamines

Topical antihistamines are not recommended as a treatment option for people with atopic dermatitis (AD) due to a risk of absorption and allergic contact dermatitis. Though some studies have shown a temporary decrease in pruritus, no significant reduction in disease severity or control has been demonstrated.
