Atopic dermatitis: Systemic antihistamines

Although antihistamines may be useful for treating sleep loss from the itch associated with atopic dermatitis (AD), there is not enough evidence to recommend the use of antihistamines as a general treatment option for AD.

Furthermore, non-sedating antihistamines are not recommended as a routine treatment for AD.
