A study sought to investigate any association of several psychological health statuses, such as stress, depression, and suicidal ideation, as well as poor health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in Korean adult patients with atopic dermatitis (AD).
There were a total of 27,578 adults included in this study from the Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.
Results from this study showed that all three psychological health statues and poor HRQoL were significantly associated with AD. The study concluded that the results signify a need for dermatologists to help improve these associations.
